Systemcenter Project 33919
Supporting employees often begins with designing spaces around the way they work. When Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) renovated its IT office, the goal was to create a workspace that improved daily operations while providing a better experience for employees visiting the department for technical support.
Working alongside the project team during the office remodel, Systemcenter furnished the newly constructed space with height-adjustable workstations, private offices, conference and collaboration areas, storage, and a custom IT check-in station. The renovation also included new flooring, paint, and a kitchenette, creating a refreshed workplace designed to support both focused work and day-to-day customer interactions.
Designing an IT Workspace Around Daily Operations
One of the primary goals of the project was creating a dedicated IT check-in area that provided a clear separation between visitors and IT staff while allowing employees to efficiently assist customers throughout the day.
To meet those needs, Systemcenter developed a custom reception solution using a powered Haworth Collaborate table integrated with a Haworth Compose powered panel. The panel provided structural support, concealed power for the workstation, and incorporated slatwall accessories that gave IT staff convenient access to frequently used forms and office supplies. Enclose architectural walls with a lockable swing door further separated the customer-facing check-in area from the team’s internal workspace while maintaining accessibility and security.
Tailored Solutions for a Custom Installation
Custom environments require careful coordination to ensure every detail performs as intended. During installation, the team modified the workstation design by incorporating an eight-inch panel extension and adjustable table leg inserts to achieve the precise counter height requested by the client.
When an incorrectly manufactured door panel arrived from the factory, Systemcenter worked with the manufacturer to resolve the issue and ensure the completed installation met the project’s functional and security requirements.
Supporting Productive Workplace Environments
The completed office provides ASRC’s IT team with dedicated workstations, private offices, collaborative spaces, secure customer check-in, and integrated storage solutions designed around the department’s daily workflow.
Whether creating custom reception areas, workplace furniture solutions, or complete office renovations, Systemcenter partners with organizations to design spaces that support productivity, collaboration, and the people who use them every day.
