Systemcenter Project # 6501

In 2015, the Systemcenter completed installation of furniture for the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s College of Natural Science. The installation is a great example of a functional and beautiful collaborative space for students and faculty to be able to gather. The space included a mix of Haworth and KI furniture. Check out the photos.

Mid Pacific Institute – Gulick Hall

Systemcenter Project # 8173

The Systemcenter was chosen to design and install classroom furniture for Mid Pacific Institute’s Gulick Hall. The Systemcenter chose to design the space using KI, one of our prime vendor partners for the project. KI is the largest manufacturer of institutional furniture and has a very wide variety of choices for the education market. The spaces were designed to be contemporary and very flexible, as is visible in the photos below. The results speak for themselves and have turned out to be a beautiful showcase for KI furniture.

Systemcenter Project # 6236

In 2015, The Systemcenter completed installation of the largest Spacesaver Eclipse mobile system in the State of Hawaii. The installation was for the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus’ ‘Ulu’ulu | The Henry Ku’ualoha Giugni Moving Image Archive of Hawai’i. The facility serves as Hawaii’s official state archive for moving images. Their mission is to preserve, protect, and make accessible the state’s moving image heritage that is recorded on the tens of thousands of videotapes and motion picture film reels in their care.

The Systemcenter effort and team was headed up by Sandra Edwards; Education, Library & Museum Market Manager. Sandra invested over 5 years working closely with members of the ‘Ulu’ulu staff, John Hara Associates, and other key individuals and companies to overcome the unique challenges a project of this scope will present. The result is a spectacular MILE+ of shelving. The Systemcenter team was honored to have been selected for such an important project and we embrace the opportunity to provide the best possible solutions and service for our customer. Sandra’s long term commitment to the design and planning phase of this monumental project along with the Systemcenter Installation Department’s commitment to and reputation for excellence and highest quality work, coupled with the great relationship that developed over the years with members of ‘Ulu’ulu’s friendly and professional staff were key components in making this project such a success. The Systemcenter’s goal is not only to meet the customer’s expectations, but to exceed them.

Special thanks go out to the incredible staff at ‘Ulu’ulu for making the experience such a productive and positive one for all of us here at the Systemcenter.

Chaminade

Systemcenter Project # 5932

The Systemcenter installed classroom and multipurpose furniture at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. The KI Pirouette nesting flip top table and the Strive nesting chairs were chosen for their functionality and aesthetic qualities.

The innovative articulating leg of the Pirouette table creates a leg-within-leg nesting solution unlike any other. As Pirouette’s top is raised, the legs articulate. When in use, Pirouette’s clean design profile sets it apart from standard nesting tables. Pirouette easily reconfigures and nests for simple storage and adaptability. Pirouette’s unique design accommodates two-sided usage, giving ample leg room to those seated on either side of a table. Pirouette is available in five different top shapes that support both training applications and learning configurations. Pirouette is offered in both fixed and nesting leg styles, in addition to a Collaborative and Training base style. Pirouette’s Collaborative base style features legs inset deeper on the table, allowing for usage on all four sides of a rectangular table.

Strive nesting chairs are ideal for fast-paced learning and training environments and are both versatile and mobile.  The simple yet elegant seating is also comfortable enough for conference rooms.  Strive’s flex back encourages movement, relaxation and enhanced circulation.  The radiused back conforms to the user’s back for exceptional support.  The contoured seat dissipates pressure points for greater comfort.  No need to lift and stack these chairs.  Just flip-up the seats and roll chairs so they conveniently nest together with minimal effort.
