We are excited to announce that the Systemcenter has received samples of Haworth’s revolutionary new FERN chair. We will be taking the chairs on a road show to A&D firms and other companies in Honolulu interested in test driving the new chair. The FERN chair is only the second chair to ever be endorsed by the American Physical Therapist’s Association (APTA) (Haworth’s ZODY chair was the first).

Haworth has been working with the Human Performance Institute at Western Michigan University for over 12 years with the goal of investigating the physical relationship between a person and a seating surface. Together they have mapped over 5.5 BILLION high resolution pressure mapping data points to better understand seating phenomena. Suffice it to say the FERN chair is the end result of an incredible amount of research into the ergonomics and science of seating.
