Project # 17115 – Pacific Buddhist Academy
A Transformative School Furniture Project
Systemcenter Project # 17115
When Pacific Buddhist Academy set out to furnish their new 12,000 sq. ft. school building, they needed a partner who understood the importance of creating a dynamic, flexible learning environment. The project included eight classrooms, a student commons, office space, a traditional Japanese tea room, and a custom-designed Buddhist altar. The goal was to reflect the academy’s peace-focused values while providing adaptable, modular spaces for various subjects.
Why Systemcenter?
After a competitive bidding process, Systemcenter was chosen for our personalized approach and deep understanding of the school’s unique culture. By collaborating closely with the academy’s staff, we ensured the furniture would not only meet functional needs but also align with their vision of nurturing a positive, engaging learning atmosphere.
Challenges, Success and Impact.
Despite an 18-month delay in construction, Systemcenter remained engaged, adapting to changes in the school’s evolving vision. The result? A beautifully furnished facility that supported both the academy’s mission and its educational goals. The flexible, modern design of the new space contributed to a two-year consecutive increase in enrollment. The fresh look and functionality impressed prospective families and kept current students and teachers motivated in a space built for learning.
