University of Hawaii West Oahu – Ulu Ulu | The Henry Ku‘ualoha Guigni Moving Image Archive of Hawai’i
Systemcenter Project # 6236
In 2015, The Systemcenter completed installation of the largest Spacesaver Eclipse mobile system in the State of Hawaii. The installation was for the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus’ ‘Ulu’ulu | The Henry Ku’ualoha Giugni Moving Image Archive of Hawai’i. The facility serves as Hawaii’s official state archive for moving images. Their mission is to preserve, protect, and make accessible the state’s moving image heritage that is recorded on the tens of thousands of videotapes and motion picture film reels in their care.
The Systemcenter effort and team was headed up by Sandra Edwards; Education, Library & Museum Market Manager. Sandra invested over 5 years working closely with members of the ‘Ulu’ulu staff, John Hara Associates, and other key individuals and companies to overcome the unique challenges a project of this scope will present. The result is a spectacular MILE+ of shelving. The Systemcenter team was honored to have been selected for such an important project and we embrace the opportunity to provide the best possible solutions and service for our customer. Sandra’s long term commitment to the design and planning phase of this monumental project along with the Systemcenter Installation Department’s commitment to and reputation for excellence and highest quality work, coupled with the great relationship that developed over the years with members of ‘Ulu’ulu’s friendly and professional staff were key components in making this project such a success. The Systemcenter’s goal is not only to meet the customer’s expectations, but to exceed them.
Special thanks go out to the incredible staff at ‘Ulu’ulu for making the experience such a productive and positive one for all of us here at the Systemcenter.
