Central Oʻahu families needed comprehensive care without a drive into town. Straub Benioff’s new Mililani Town Center clinic brings urgent care, routine check-ups, mammography, imaging, and rotating specialty services together under one roof—consolidating two smaller clinics into a single, welcoming destination designed for access, comfort, and continuity of care.
The Scope
Invited by Hawaii Pacific Health’s project manager and selected through the required bid process, Systemcenter furnished the new facility end-to-end: FF&E planning, procurement, project management, delivery, and installation across public zones, 55 exam rooms, imaging, specialty care, staff workpoints, and back-of-house support. Collaborating closely with Interior Designer Martha Alabanza and JBA Construction, we aligned furniture standards to a hospitality-inspired vision that balances cleanability and durability with warmth. We sequenced logistics to meet a tight schedule and coordinated installation alongside final finish work—so the clinic could open on time.
The Outcome
For patients and families, the experience starts calm: layered seating options, intuitive layouts, and locally sourced artwork—including commissioned pieces—bring a hospitality feel to clinical care, reducing stress and making visits more comfortable. For providers and staff, ergonomic workpoints, height-adjustable stations, and clear circulation patterns support long 10am–8pm days and efficient workflows across rotating specialty rooms. For Hawaii Pacific Health, each element supports access to high-quality care where people live.
The interiors translate healthcare performance into a human experience: warm materials, cleanable finishes, and varied seating for individuals, caregivers, and families. Sightlines aid wayfinding; collaborative and task zones support focused work; and thoughtful details—from tackboards to hospitality carts—keep rooms organized and patient-ready.
