Position Summary
The Project Manager at The Systemcenter, Inc. is responsible for overseeing commercial furniture installation projects from planning through completion. This role ensures that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining alignment with client expectations, budgets, and schedules. The Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, vendors, and installation crews to deliver projects that exemplify The Systemcenter’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Review project documentation, specifications, and drawings to ensure full understanding of scope and requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including delivery timelines, site readiness, and manpower planning.
- Coordinate project logistics with clients, designers, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities and meeting deadlines.
Communication & Leadership
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proactive and transparent communication.
- Lead internal coordination meetings and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
- Work closely with warehouse and installation teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism on-site.
- Foster collaboration and accountability among team members, reinforcing The Systemcenter’s standards of service and integrity.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Prepare project budgets, track costs, and manage change orders.
- Monitor labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Approve and maintain accurate documentation including timesheets, invoices, change requests, and close-out reports.
- Provide timely reporting and forecasting to support operational and financial goals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Interior Design, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial furniture, interiors, or construction.
- Strong understanding of systems furniture, casework, architectural walls, and installation processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity concurrently.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and project management tools.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and installation drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain composure under pressure.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to visit job sites, conduct walkthroughs, and occasionally assist with project inspections requiring moderate physical activity.
- Must be able to travel between job sites and work flexible hours as needed to meet project schedules.

Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
