Home to nearly 6,000 residents across approximately 400 acres in West Oʻahu, Kapilina Beach Homes is one of Hawaiʻi’s largest residential communities. As part of an ongoing investment in its resident amenities, the community completed a multi-phase outdoor furniture upgrade designed to enhance its pool deck, beachfront gathering areas, recreation spaces, and cabanas.

Working alongside PeopleSpace as an intermarket partner, Systemcenter coordinated the receiving, delivery, installation, and final placement of commercial outdoor furniture across the property. The project introduced new outdoor lounge furniture and seating environments that improve comfort, durability, and the overall resident experience while standing up to Hawaiʻi’s coastal climate.

Commercial Outdoor Furniture for Communities Amenities

The project included a variety of commercial-grade outdoor furnishings selected to support daily use in high-traffic amenity spaces, including:

• Poolside chaise lounges
• Outdoor dining and gathering tables
• Cabanas and shaded seating areas
• Beachfront seating environments
• Community gathering spaces

Each furnishing was selected for its ability to withstand sun, salt air, humidity, and frequent use while maintaining a welcoming residential aesthetic.

For Kapilina residents, outdoor spaces serve as an extension of home. The pool deck, beach access points, and recreation areas are used daily by families, neighbors, and friends for relaxation, recreation, and community events.

Community leadership sought to increase both the quantity and quality of outdoor seating while creating more flexible environments that accommodate everything from quiet individual use to larger social gatherings.

The result is a collection of outdoor amenity spaces that better support the way residents live, connect, and enjoy the property throughout the year.
